Knightstown
is a small community of approximately 2,000 residents, located in Henry County in east central Indiana. As of the 2000 census, the per capita income in Knightstown was $22,466, compared with $21,587 nationally. Employment and earnings by industry in 2005 for Knightstown/Henry County are as follows: retail trade, manufacturing, health care and social services, construction, accommodations and food services, professional and technical services, wholesale trade, transportation and warehousing, information services, arts, entertainment and recreation. Tourism plays an important role in Knightstown's economy, due in part to the town's historical attractions and special events, like the Hoosier Fall Festival and Jubilee Days in early summer.
